I drew up the plans and made this solid, cherry desk. I took the rough cut wood and ran it through a jointer and planer to get the wood down to the proper width and thickness. Then I used table saws, routers, mortise and tenon, a dovetail-er, pull saw, and sanders to prepare all of the pieces for assembly. I finished the surface with tung oil and Waterlox to protect the wood and give it a natural glow.
