I had the opportunity to do a sponsored project designing bicycle helmets with TREK and Bontrager. They have established a strong position in the racing helmets market, but are trying to increase their market share with a line of helmets for another set of users such as regular riders or commuters. As I did research, I found that there is a large market for helmets for police officers on bicycles, but no product designed specifically for them.
